Wedi'i ddechrau fel math o therapi, gwnaeth graen y pren arwain fi a fy ngŷn i lawr llwybyr wnes i byth disgwyl. Angerdd a chariad y pren a fydd yn fy nilyn i i'r bywyd nesaf. Hyd i heddiw, rydw i'n dilyn llwybrau'r graen i heddwch, gyda offerau llaw traddodiadol yn fy nwrn, a'r Awenau'n sibrwd yn fy nglust.
Starting as a form of therapy, the wood grain led my chisel and I down a pathway I never would have expected. A love and passion that will follow me through to the next life. To this day I continue to follow the grains' pathways to serenity, with only traditional hand tools in my grasp and the Awens whispering in my ear.
Mae pob cerfiad yn unigryw, ac yn gael ei greu yn gwmws i'r manylion am pwy bynag sy'n ei dderbyn e. Yn dechrau gyda ymgynghoriad, pan dw i'n gallu, i gael teimlad o beth i wneud, rydw i wedyn yn ddarlunio braslun. Pan dedwydd, a'r gynllun wedi cael ei ddewis, mae fy nghŷn yn dechrau rhyddhau fe o'r pren.
Each carving is unique, and created to the exact details for whom it's intended. Starting with a consultation, when I'm able, to find what's wanted, I will then draw up and send some design sketches. Once happy, and the design finalised, my chisel is able to begin releasing it from the wood.
Diolch i fy Ngransha am rhannu ei wybodaeth gwaith saer, fy owa Mark am gyflwyno fi i'r goed, owa Ian am rhoi gefnogaeth a phren, â fy owa Andrew am prynu fy nghynion gyntaf a ddechrau fy nhaith mewn i gerifo.
Thanks to my Gransha for sharing his knowledge of carpentry, my uncle Mark for introducing the trees, my uncle Ian for offering wood and support, and my uncle Andrew who bought my first chisels and started my journey into carving.
